Fellow Lions:
For over 50 years the Simcoe Lions have staged a first rate variety show as a fundraiser in the Simcoe Composite School Gym. The gym was extensively damaged by fire and the Waterford Lions helped us put the show on in their school. The fire was a devastating blow to the students, the school board and our club but we have joined together to plan, finance and build a new enlarged facility with a state-of-the-art stage component.
But that?s not all! The purpose of this letter is to give your club and its members an opportunity to share in a unique project, which will transform this new facility into the Simcoe Lions Theatre, making it a facility useable by all the surrounding communities. We are planning to purchase storable, cushioned theatre style seats for the use of area organizations including ours. These seats will be stored in the school but they will be the property of the Simcoe Lions. To carry this plan out we need your help.
Please join the other clubs in our district to again show the strength of Lions working together to provide service to our communities.
